Today we made the 1 hour drive to the coast to see the town of Pisa and it's famous leaning tower.
Here I am with my dad standing in front of the baptistery on the Piazza dei Miracoli (Plaza of miracles). Not sure why we chose to wear matching gree sweaters today.
It's unfortunate that they were working on the tower right now and had scaffolding all surounding it in places. I guess it's for the long term best though.
My family.
This is the cathedral.
And now it's time for the obligatory photos of us supporting the leaning tower. Sorry, we had to do it.
Come on dad! You've got to lean into it.
Then my uncle Scott and I climbed to the top of the tower. That's a pretty good workout.
We had lunch at this little pizzeria in Pisa.
It was a little on the touristy side, but like all the other food we have had in Italy so far, it was great.
Time to head back to Carmingnano and the villa for a relazing evening.
Awww...the last pic is very sweet. I loved the pics of everyone "supporting" the tower. Very funny and cute.
