Piazza di Spagna
I took this photo from the top of the Spanish Steps looking south-west.
The third large dome in the distance, with all the lights, is St. Peter's Basilica.
San Lorenzo in Lucina dates back to the 4th century CE.
We stepped inside the church from the busy square outside and I was overwhelmed by the peacefulness inside. I just sat in one of the pews for a while and took it all in.
The high altar, designed by Carlo Rainaldi, is decorated with a Crucifixion by Guido Reni. This picture really does not do it justice.
The Piazza Novona is one of the largest squares in Rome. It looked amazing at night. I wish we could have stayed here a little longer.
Here is Campo dei Fiori again. It's just steps away from our apartment. The last time we were here was in the daytime and they had a market set up. It looks very nice in the evening when it is all cleared out. There is Giordano Bruno in the center again looking dignified as ever.
